Why This Role Is Critical

The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in the organization by ensuring smooth daily operations and providing essential support to both staff and leadership. This position helps maintain efficiency by managing schedules, coordinating communication, organizing documents, and anticipating administrative needs before they arise. Additionally, serving as a receptionist is an important part of the role, as it represents the organization’s first point of contact. Greeting visitors, managing inquiries, and directing calls contribute to creating a professional, welcoming environment and ensure that internal and external interactions are handled promptly and courteously. Together, these responsibilities help strengthen organizational workflow, enhance customer service, and support the overall success of the team.

What You’ll Do Day-To-Day

  • Handle routine administrative tasks with accuracy and timeliness.  
  • Provide phone coverage and route technical issues appropriately.  
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming mail.  
  • Perform word-processing of drafted documents and proofread for accuracy and completeness.  
  • Distribute documents and correspondence.  
  • Perform basic database entry and file maintenance of customer information and/ or internal company records such as vacation log, training needs, timekeeping reports, personnel files, and general department files.  
  • Process office supply requisitions, facilities requests, graphics services requests and office equipment repair requests.  
  • Make travel arrangements and schedules meetings.

  • Salary: $21.90 - $28.60 per hour, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
