What You’ll Do Day-To-Day

  • Ensures effective performance of engineering assignments.  
  • Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering activities, as assigned.  
  • Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards.  
  • Ensures adherence to government, organization and customer engineering standards and procedures.  
  • Monitors goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members.  
  • Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.  
  • Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.  
  • Works on special projects, as directed.  
  • Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.  
  • Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.  
  • Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.  

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related Engineering Discipline 
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Professional Engineering License (P. Eng.)
  • Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.  
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills.  
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates.  
  • Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills.  
  • Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills. 
  • Experience working on large scale engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with Nuclear and Engineering processes, codes, and standards (i.e. CSA N299, N286.7, N293.7, C22.1, etc.).
  • Electrical Power Transient analysis. Relay Protection design and coordination, component specification and selection.
  • General I&C experience via familiarity with Instrumentation specification and control systems.
